Coach Gibson comes from an accomplished background as a player. Between 2010-2011, he played professionally in Jamaica, where he was also a part of the Jamaican U-20 National Team setup. Following his pro stint, he moved to the United States in 2012 to play collegiately in the NAIA for Baker University, where he was a 2x conference champion. While at Baker, Coach Gibson earned 2nd Team All-Conference and 3rd Team All-American honors while guiding his team to NAIA national tournament Sweet 16 and Elite 8 Appearances. Following his collegiate career, Coach Gibson played three seasons in the NPSL for the Brooklyn Italians in New York City.
While in New York, Coach Careme began coaching for FC Select where he worked his way up to coaching five teams between U11-U16, including his U13 boys that he took to winning a state championship. Coach Gibson's most recent experiences include serving our country in the First Infantry Division out of Fort Rily, KS. Here, he revived a Ft Riley soccer team that had been hiatus for nearly 30 years, taking them to the quarterfinals in one of the largest military soccer competitions in the United States hosted by Kings Hammer Bay United. In addition to his duties as a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear specialist for the army, Coach Gibson coached local club Danger FC U17 and U18 boys teams before becoming the first ever head coach of K-State Soccer Club.
